The name Fosbury is synonymous with the high jump because Dick Fosbury was the man who innovated one of the most radical changes in the sport. Professionally, he is the co-founder and president of Galena Engineering, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying company that specializes in land development and public works projects in the Sun Valley, Idaho area. He is a licensed civil engineer and land surveyor, and has served as the city engineer of Ketchum and Sun Valley, Idaho, and is the chairman of the Ketchum Area Rapid Transit Board.
