Marketing Intern
EdGate is a small, agile team passionate about delivering impactful solutions in the education space. Our marketing team supports a wide range of initiatives, from brand awareness to lead generation, and we’re looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to join us in bringing creative ideas to life.
Role Overview:
As a Marketing Intern, you’ll work closely with our Marketing Operations Manager and contractor team to support content creation, campaign execution, and market research. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing and communications within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, writing, designing, and scheduling social media posts (primarily LinkedIn and Facebook)
- Contribute to light content writing tasks including blog outlines, social captions, and internal updates
- Conduct educational standards research and collect information to support content development
- Organize and maintain marketing assets including templates, images, and past campaign content
- Assist with website content updates or light formatting (no coding required)
- Support general administrative marketing tasks, such as compiling lists, tracking campaign performance, and organizing files
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Interest in social media marketing and digital communications
- Comfortable learning new platforms and tools (we will train you!)
- Organized, proactive, and eager to contribute in a collaborative team setting
- Experience with Canva and Google Workspace
- Bonus Skills (not required but great to have):
- Knowledge of the education sector
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms
- Basic video editing skills (short-form content for social media, simple edits)
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, keyword research, and applying them in content
- Interest in or willingness to learn more about UX/UI for website improvements
