Billy Taylor's Jazz at the Kennedy Center
Each week, Dr. Taylor invites a distinguished jazz musician to perform with his trio onstage and to engage in conversation with host and audience about their life, music, and unique perspective on jazz. Log on to this site and read up on the current musician in the spotlight, or hear past interviews with jazz greats.

Community Sparks
This directory connects music talent with those who need it for any event. Musicians can join the directory, or search for a specific style of music. This site includes an electronic directory of talent, concerts, and an “Event of the Week.”

Contemporary List of Jazz Links
The Contemporary List of Jazz Links is self-described as the "biggest list of JAZZ links you've ever seen in your life!" The site features artist's homepages, discographies, biographies, and interviews. Also included are education sites for studying jazz, electronic jazz magazines, radio station homepages, and jazz festival information.

Devil's Music
"The Devil's Music: 1920s Jazz" premiered on PBS and examines the evolution of jazz from a radically new and socially unacceptable musical genre to its current status as a great American art form. This site is a companion to the PBS series Culture Shock that tells the stories of cultural controversy in now-classic works of art including literature, painting, film, and music.

GlobalStage
The Global Stage is described at "The internet connection between music makers and music lovers" and offers an extensive database of bands or musicians. Also included in this site are featured artists of the month and many related links.

The Great Learning
The Great Learning provides a comprehensive directory of free jazz improvisations worldwide, sources for various genres of records, magazines, and artists. This site includes many photos and RealAudio links of jazz performances.

InterJazz
InterJazz is described as "The Internet Jazz Plaza" and includes live chat with jazz artists, an extensive search feature for bands and artists, Yellow Jazz Pages, and free subscription to the InterJazz newsletter. On this site, InterJazz, the Blue Note, and Yahoo Broadcasting sponsor online broadcasts of jazz artists.

JAZCLASS
Michael Furstner's JAZCLASS is an award-winning site from Australia that offers lessons on music theory, blues, jazz, improvisation, chords, and scales. This site also offers sales of music books and email music courses.

Jazz Artists
Jazz Artists is an easy-to-use search engine that links to over 1,977 artists bibliographies and 2,771 Internet links. This site also includes a detailed list of Jazz Clubs on the Internet with their location (city, country) as well as a link to each site.

Jazz Corner
Jazz Corner makes excellent use of ShockWave technology and provides a comprehensive site of jazz artists, record company links, and 15 different discussion areas. The site also includes links to the Jazz Composers Collective, which is a non-profit, New York City-based, and musician-run organization dedicated to presenting the original works of composers who are pushing the boundaries of self-expression through jazz.

Jazz Review
Like its name implies, Jazz Review reviews of CDs, books, photography, and interviews from the jazz world. The site offers a vast archive of past jazz reviews from both professional and guest reviewers.

Jazz UK
This site is described at the most comprehensive U.K. jazz site on the Web and includes an international directory for professional jazz musicians, bands, venues and promoters. Also, try your hand at the jazz quiz and win CDs or cassettes from various artists.

JazzRadio.org
JazzRadio.org is the official site for Jazz From Lincoln Center, the NPR program that brings Ed Bradley's commentary and top-notch musical performances from the stages of the Lincoln Center. The site is committed to promoting appreciation and understanding of jazz through performance, education, and preservation.

Jazzset with Branford Marsalis
JazzSet with Branford Marsalis is a NPR site that presents recent performances from stages around the world. JazzSet visits annual North American festivals from Montreal to Monterey. The Carnegie Hall Jazz Band concerts air exclusively on JazzSet.

NPR Jazz Profiles
The online version of this weekly one-hour documentary series, hosted by Nancy Wilson, profiles the people, places, and things in jazz. Nancy Wilson is an Emmy and Grammy award winner who earned a reputation as an acclaimed entertainer through her exciting live performances and television appearances, including a stint with her own NBC-TV series, "The Nancy Wilson Show."
