FAME: Foundation for Artistic and Musical Excellence
Would you like an opportunity to study music with a recognized artist teacher? FAME organizes concerts and performances for festival participants of different levels with artists who play a variety of instruments. It also offers RealPlayer clips of previous competitions and has a good number of scholarship awards to give out.

The Lake Placid International Music Seminars
The Lake Placid seminars emphasize music education as more than just improving technique, it also focuses on the role music plays in culture and psychology. There are separate seminars for different instruments, voice, and jazz improvisation.

Music Teachers National Association - Student Competitions
Aimed at students, the competitions are divided into different levels of schooling, chamber works and composition competitions. National Trumpet Competition (NTC)
